Dear ASHHRA Colleagues,
The winter season, holidays and end of year activities have quickly come upon us. I hope you take time to enjoy this time of year with friends and family and pause to reflect on your personal and professional goals and accomplishments.
 
ASHHRA News
We're looking for speakers to present best practices, case studies and implementable health care HR strategies at ASHHRA20. If you are ready to submit, visit the Abstract Service Center to get started. All of your abstract information will be stored, allowing you to make edits and changes until the Nov. 15 deadline.
 
An estimated one million service members are expected to enter the civilian workforce in the coming years. In honor of Veterans Day, ASHHRA is providing the highly rated on-demand conference session, "A Guide to Hiring Heroes: Helping Veterans Find Their Place," available for free to ASHHRA members this week.
 
Society for Human Resource Management
ASHHRA, in collaboration with PwC Saratoga, offers the HR Metrics Tool annually to enable ASHHRA members to benefit from PwC's expertise in HR analytics and to obtain relevant benchmarks for workforce and HR metrics. Plus, sign up by Wednesday, Dec. 4 to receive a 15% discount to participate for the upcoming 2020 year.

Highmark Health, the parent company of Pittsburgh-based Blues insurer Highmark and integrated system Allegheny Health Network, is introducing a program to deliver inpatient hospital care to patients in their homes, where it says certain health care services can be provided in a safer, lower cost way through a combination of in-person home visits and telehealth.
