Greetings, ASHHRA!

I am so grateful and excited to serve as ASHHRA president in 2023! It is humbling to follow Carl McDonald — his leadership and dedication over the past two years has been nothing short of incredible. Carl, thank you! 

ASHHRA has held a special place in my heart and career since I joined in 2000. As each of us has been on a journey to grow, learn and adapt,  ASHHRA has been consistently by our side, flexing and progressing to ensure our members have what they need to thrive in their careers and organizations.  

We have launched several relevant and exciting opportunities for our members.  

New! The ASHHRA Podcast with Bo & Luke. If you haven’t listened in yet, I highly encourage you to do so. I have really enjoyed the lively, insightful discussions with top healthcare leaders across the country.  

Timely and relevant webinars – free to members and with CEU’s! I recently attended the Mini-Bootcamp: Inclusive Healthcare HR Leadership Development. Charlotte Hughes shared insightful and actionable work we can do individually and with our teams and organizations.  

While our days get busy, it is so important for us as HR professionals to take advantage of these incredible opportunities and continue our own development.  

You are likely asking yourself, how else can I get involved? The ASHHRA23 conference is just around the corner. In beautiful Charlotte, N.C., this conference is sure to serve up incredible learning and networking opportunities!

HCHR Week is March 13 – 17 this year. Don’t miss this time to recognize this important group of HR professionals!
