Greetings, ASHHRA Colleagues!

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! We honor the history, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors originated in Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America every year from September 15 to October 15.

Time is passing quickly, and the end of the year is in sight. My children constantly remind me of how many days are left until Christmas (100!). The importance of recruiting and retaining talent is another reality that continues to provide insight. Organizations are under pressure to find talent for a variety of open positions but HR professionals are also concerned with retaining, recognizing and providing a good work environment for people to consider as their new work home.

I am pleased that the organization I recently joined recognizes the importance of boosting employee morale and ensuring that the workplace environment is appropriate for our employees. I hope that everyone in our healthcare sector is also making that a priority. Your ASHHRA peers are here to provide support through the ASHHRA Exchange online community,  educational offerings, tools on our website and our upcoming conference – just to name a few.
