As we wrap up 2019, I would like to thank you for allowing me to serve as your President, and I look forward to serving as your Immediate Past President in 2020. The board and ASHHRA staff accomplished so much this year. It’s no small feat to pull off launching a new website featuring easier access to resources you need, a brand refresh strengthening our connections with the AHA, and an incredible annual conference that we’ll be reminiscing about for years to come. I hope you take the time to reflect on your year and recognize all that you’ve accomplished, both personally and professionally.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to this year’s board for their time, dedication and contributions  Collaborating with the board, our business partners and the ASHHRA staff has provided me with tremendous opportunities to continue growing and developing. I encourage you to get more involved with our national association as well as your local chapter. Whether that’s joining the conversations on ASHHRA Exchange, planning activities for Health Care HR Week (March 16-20), attending the annual conference (next year will be in Denver, August 22 – 25, by the way) — take advantage of any opportunity to engage with your health care HR peers. It will be worth it.

It has been my pleasure to serve as your ASHHRA President this year and I look forward to an exciting 2020, filled with new ways to connect, innovate and transform.
