What health care HR issues keep you up at night?

Last month, ASHHRA Board Members braved (and survived) the Polar Vortex in the Midwest to plan for the future of ASHHRA and health care HR. A large portion of our time together as a leadership team was spent talking about the "mega issues" that we are currently facing in health care, as health care HR professionals and what is yet to come. How do we prepare for these challenges, and more importantly, how do we help guide our leaders and organizations through these times of change?

As we set our direction for 2019 and beyond, these topics will guide ASHHRA in providing the appropriate structure to consult with our leadership teams in the appropriate way. We are all experiencing similar issues, at different degrees and speed. The work we do at ASHHRA will continue with the relevance needed for success.

While we remain engaged in the opportunities and challenges, we also know it is important to step back and have some fun — what are your plans to celebrate Health Care HR Week? The week of March 10–16, 2019, is designated to recognize human resources professionals in health care for their important role across the continuum of care. I look forward to the photos, activities and recognition to highlight individuals and teams during #HCHRWeek!
