Dear Colleagues,

As we wrap up 2018, I would like to say thank you for allowing me to serve as your President, and I look forward to serving as your Immediate Past President in 2019. The board and ASHHRA staff accomplished a good number of initiatives this year. It’s no small feat to pull off our annual conference, and this year’s conference was amazing. We also had a great year from an educational perspective, with new webinars throughout the year and the launch of the ASHHRA Learning Portal.

I hope you take the time to reflect on your year and recognize all the things you accomplished, both personally and professionally. Sometimes, we get so busy that we forget all the fantastic things we did and the people we helped over the year.

It has been my pleasure to serve as your ASHHRA President for 2018. Working with our partners and ASHHRA staff has not only been a fulfilling process, but an educational one. Everything we do gives us the opportunity to learn and grow, not only as health care human resources professionals, but in our personal lives as well. My experience with ASHHRA has been just this.

I also want to recognize our departing board members: Gary Pastore, Lindy White, Christine Jensema and Brian Silva. It’s with their time, dedication and knowledge we continue to make ASHHRA a valuable organization for its members in 2018. Again, I appreciated the opportunity to serve as your President and look forward to working with the board and other members in 2019 to make ASHHRA even better.

Sincerely,

Jamie Parsons, CHHR, SPHR-SCP, FACHE, SPHR
SVP/CHRO St. Elizabeth Healthcare
2018 ASHHRA President
