Dear ASHHRA Colleagues,

I love this time of year! Brisk mornings; warm (but not too hot) afternoons; vibrant colors transforming the foliage; and (my absolute favorite) college football. Hello to fall!

Even though we are well into October, I am still basking in the glow of an amazing conference last month. What a wonderful time, connecting with so many of you at the ASHHRA 52nd Annual Conference & Exposition in Grapevine, Texas. We had wonderful keynotes and concurrent sessions, the attendance was great, and the energy was amazing.  I also witnessed some things I had not seen at a conference before ... specifically, bull-riding and armadillo racing. Such fun memories! 

Thank you again to Becky Stirzaker and all of the members of the Annual Conference Committee for their hard work and dedication putting together such a wonderful conference. Also my sincere thanks to all of the volunteers on all of our committees for your efforts on behalf of ASHHRA. Our organization is great because of the commitment and creativity of its volunteers.  

 

I know that fall is often a very busy time for HR professionals. Remember to take a moment to breathe. There is always work to do, but make sure to also enjoy some downtime with friends and family. I wish you a great October and a festive fall.
