Dear ASHHRA Colleagues,
Last night, I started thinking about packing for Texas. Anyone who knows me can attest that I typically pack for a trip the night before, and so the fact that I am pulling out my suitcases now should be an indicator to everyone about how excited I am to connect with fellow members, sponsors and exhibitors in Grapevine. I hope you have made plans to join me at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Conference Center for the 52nd Annual ASHHRA Conference, September 24–27, 2016.
In addition to all the networking and educational opportunities, the conference provides CEUs you can earn toward CHHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI, ACHE and NAB recertification. Details regarding certification can be found here. For CHHR, this year attendees can earn up to 19.5 contact hours!
While at the conference, don’t forget to stop by the CHHR lounge. It will be a great way for certificants to get to know each other as well as a way for those interested in learning more about sitting for the CHHR to connect with HR leaders currently holding the certification. I plan on spending some time there. I hope you will join me!
As I prepare for our conference, I feel a strong sense of gratitude. It has been such a privilege to be your ASHHRA president. I have enjoyed every moment and look forward to being able to meet and reconnect with many of you later this month.
