ASHHRA19 kicks off with an exciting opening keynote from Captain Richard Phillips, the author of A Captain’s Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALs, and Dangerous Days at Sea, about his experience and his remarkable rescue. This dramatic story was also transformed into an Academy-Award and Golden-Globe nominated 2013 film, Captain Phillips.

Celebrate under the stars with your fellow attendees at Chicago’s famous Adler Planetarium. The event will feature food, music, drinks and even a few short movies in one of Adler’s theaters! Shuttles will be available both to and from the event. A ticket is REQUIRED for each person to enter the Social Event venue. You will not be admitted to the event without a ticket. No exceptions.

Visit Booth #528 at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for short, educational sessions right on the exhibit floor! Learn about innovative solution-based services or products and earn additional CEUs toward recertification. These sessions, held in the Education Theatre, are 18 minutes, similar to Ted Talks. After each session, connect with the speaker at their respective company booth to learn more.

If you haven't started using the ASHHRA19 Conference App yet, you're missing out! Attendees can download it now and join the conversation! ( iPhone | Android) In addition to all the must-know info about schedules, exhibitors and attendees, the app features a live activity feed where you can interact with fellow attendees and comment and share photos right from your phone. For those who like some healthy competition (you know who you are!), be sure to check the app's Leaderboard and earn points each time you use it! The ASHHRA Annual Conference & Exposition kicked off yesterday with a day full of learning and valuable networking. The preconference sessions provided attendees with an in-depth look at the areas of management, finance and personal leadership. The packed Executive Symposium explored the impact of disruptors such as Apple, Amazon and Google on the health care field. The CHHR Study Session offered valuable information for those interested in taking the CHHR Exam.
These workshops were led by some of the field’s most sought-after speakers, health care HR leaders and strategic partners, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and strategize with their colleagues and speakers during these in-depth learning opportunities.
