Career Corner
The U.S. is expected to grow 5 percent over the next five years, adding more than 7 million jobs by 2021, according to a recent study from CareerBuilder and Emsi. As may be expected, however, some jobs will grow at a much faster rate than the average while others will decline.

While there is plenty that one does not need to have all figured out in the early career years, there are a few things that every 20-something professional should get a handle on sooner, not later. Why? Because they may very well lead to big-time dividends by the time you hit your 40s.

Health Care Hiring
It’s never too late to make a career change, and the health care sector is a great place to start. Nursing aide is one of the most common full-time job options for those changing work after the age of 55 according to new data from the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College.

One common question students ask when entering the health care field is the difference between a nurse practitioner and a physician assistant. While there are many similarities, these professions have significant differences.

With the CHHR behind your name, it shows you to be a professional of the highest caliber: One who truly knows the field and is savvy to current best practices in benefits and wellness. ASHHRA members who qualify and apply for a CHHR Scholarship will receive a voucher for the full CHHR exam fee (a $295 value)!

Congratulations to the following who have attained their CHHR in 2016 – you too could be on this list!
