The Talent Development Director will be responsible for maximizing patient and business outcomes to a world-class level by cultivating in-house leadership, employee and provider talent through a multi-tier learning environment based upon core values, behaviors and competencies. This role will be accountable to strengthening the leadership pipeline through development, coaching/mentoring and succession planning. The Talent Development Director will collaboratively consult with business units and the leadership team to transform traditional learning into practical application in a collaborative team environment while enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational development processes, programs and infra-structure. 

The University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a talented and innovative human resources leader to oversee the daily operations of human resources at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Hospitals. The ideal candidate will provide HR and talent consulting/advising to the hospital executive teams, strategic and tactical support and expertise regarding labor relation matters. The Executive Director, HR, will partner with the hospital leadership teams to analyze and prioritize critical business challenges while providing HR recommendations in collaboration with HR leaders to ensure consistency within the organization. 

The position of Human Resources Business Partner is comparable in many ways to a human resources managerial position. Provide support to designated business units in their day-to-day operational needs as well as development of human resources strategies that support the unit's business strategic imperatives. Develop, participate in and implement a wide variety of HR programs and initiatives (e.g., compensation, workforce planning, organizational change and succession management) and act as a liaison to other human resources functions including staffing, compensation and learning & development. Consult with employees, leadership and line managers to address complex human resources issues. 

Provides leadership and direction in the development and/or enhancements of strategic initiatives that support the goal of attracting, sourcing, recruiting and delivering top talent to HFHS. Responsible for system-wide management and oversight of a team of recruitment professionals in leading the sourcing function, building and developing external relationships with colleges and affiliations and the development and execution of recruitment plans and strategies for various critical positions and pre-qualified talent pools for various positions. 

Plans, coordinates and directs day-to-day operations of human resources including training and development programs for the District.

Provides strategic HR and talent support to designated leaders and employees at one or more HCA facilities creating the desired workplace culture and an engaged and productive workforce through HCA's policies, programs and practices. This role serves as a senior member of the HR team and may be asked to take on more strategic activities with the senior team at the facility. 

The key accountabilities for the CHCS HR Director include: establish and implement HR programs that effectively communicate and support the organization's strategic vision; develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the organization's overall business objectives; function as a strategic business advisor to the leadership of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues; develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the strategic human capital needs; establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the organization; develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective for the organization; develop, manage and coordinate learning skills and career development programs to satisfy the organization’s unique requirements; ensure compliance with regulations governing the organization and rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring the activities and initiating changes as required; participate in and make recommendations regarding any litigation involving the organization; initiate, develop and maintain cooperative relationships with the business community and other regional health care providers.

Functions as a seasoned senior-level compensation professional providing high-level compensation consultative support including but not limited to innovative compensation design consultation with a strong ability to influence and build consensus with all key stakeholders and strategic program development and implementation in close partnership with HR business partner constituency along with those responsible for the compensation delivery model (i.e., Sutter Shared Services).
