As the Director, Surgery you will be responsible for leadership and direction for the organization’s Surgery Department, including: Perioperative Clinic, Surgery (inpatient and outpatient), Post Anesthesia Recovery, Central Processing and the Business Office. The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer. This position provides executive-level leadership advancing, developing, refining, and innovating nursing operations throughout the University of Illinois Health System; leads nursing operations through efficiency in care delivery, emphasis on quality outcomes, and attention to high-value care through new and established clinical service lines, clinical programs of excellence, and culturally aware, patient-centered care delivery.

The clinical analyst serves as an integrator in the implementation and ongoing support of multi-service clinical software applications used for the hospital and electronic health record. The position supports the daily interface between clinicians/medical staff and the electronic health record. The duties involve serving as the coordinator for deploying new portions of the electronic health record in specified clinical locations, consulting with the Information Services (IS) Director, Medical Staff, and clinical departments in customizing software and altering workflow processes in the daily operation of the electronic health record. 

The Clinical Director of Surgical Services is accountable for the delivery of high quality nursing care and for the administrative management of the nursing unit on a 24-hour basis. He/she fulfills all duties and responsibilities associated with the unit manager position. Specific to this unit: This is a busy post op unit that specializes in the care of the post op general surgery, orthopedic and post trauma patients. The unit has a 30-bed capacity and runs an average daily census of 28. The right candidate will be skilled at leading a team through change and can demonstrate to that team the value of high quality patient care. The director will demonstrate skill at holding staff accountable for the standards of the unit.

Qualifications include a BA/BS degree in a healthcare or related business field (MBA/MHA preferred); five years of experience in physician practice management, particularly in group practice settings of multiple sites and more than 25 physicians; knowledge of revenue cycle management, third-party reimbursement and regulatory compliance; and familiarity with computer-based practice management and accounts receivable management systems. The Compensation/Benefits Supervisor is responsible for managing the compensation, employee records, and HRIS functions. This Vice President will work with the Management Companies of OhioHealth's six joint ventured surgery centers. This individual will be an involved resource/liason/bridge between the ventured ASCs and OhioHealth. 

The position of HR Business Partner is comparable in many ways to a HR manager position. The HRBP serves as strategic business partner with hospital leadership providing expertise and guidance on a variety of issues: Staff Development, Employee Relations, Employment Law, Staffing, Policy Interpretation, Coaching and Mentoring, employee survey analysis and conducts/facilitates a variety of leadership training programs. The HRBP may initiate investigations and provide guidance regarding issues such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions, harassment, and employee complaints in collaboration with leadership/employee.

Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Experienced in public speaking and presentations.
