We are currently looking for editorial submissions for our Summer and Fall issues of Florida Landscapes, our new quarterly publication. If you have an idea for an article or content, please contact our editor, Rachael Ryals at Naylor Publications. She can be reached at 352-333-2740 or rryals@naylor.com.

Be sure to check our website often for updates on the 2013 FLASLA Conference and Expo in beautiful St. Petersburg. You can find out more details here. We are currently accepting sponsorships for the conference. If you know of a person or organization that would be interested in a sponsorship opportunity, please let them know! You can view our sponsorship opportunities here. We are also in need of volunteers for the conference. If you are able to offer your time and talent, please contact Ken Sussman at conference13chair@flasla.org. We hope to see you this summer in St. Petersburg!

National Landscape Architects month is next month! Landscape architects will join across the country during the month of April to educate the public as to how their profession is well poised to address various issues. They’ll hold public events showcasing just what can be done through hands-on work with the public, speaking engagements and design charrettes. For more information about this exciting month, please contact Emily Mahoney at pastpresident@flasla.org.

Board and committee nominations will open shortly! If you have someone in mind for FLASLA leadership, please contact me.

As always, our membership is the most important asset of our organization. Our Membership Drive is important and is currently open. Remember that the best recruiting tool for membership is a personalized invitation from a current member! They could be a co-worker, a peer or a vendor. Take a moment today and make the request. Of course, we are here to help as well, so send us any leads that you have and our staff would be happy to follow up. We also encourage all members to keep their contact information current on both the national and state websites. Thank you for all you do as an active FLASLA member and we look forward to hearing from you!
