Description:  

This course begins with the history of concrete in landscape design, as well as how concrete is made.  You will learn the benefits of precast vs. site cast concrete, and the strengths of GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete).  Also, you will develop an understanding of the fabrication process and the compressive, tensile, and flexural strength of GFRC concrete.  In addition, we will discuss weather resistance, durability, and the "green" aspects of concrete.
