Hartzler Amendment Defeated --- THANK YOU!!!

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Thank you for your advocacy efforts to help defeat an amendment offered by Representatives Vicky Hartzler (MO) and Richard Hudson (NC) that would have eliminated funding for all vegetation management projects for federal highways and other rights-of-way.

You will be pleased to learn that the amendment failed by a vote of 172-255, thus continuing the long-standing and sound practice of including integrated vegetation management (IVM) practices in federal transportation projects. ASLA will continue to educate policy makers on the need for IVM practices to help stabilize transportation infrastructure and to provide other community benefits.
