The search and rescue mission for the five people inside the submersible craft that disappeared in the North Atlantic during a visit to the Titanic wreckage site is still underway, but recent information points to  to potentially “catastrophic” problems with the Titanic mission that were communicated years ago to OceanGate.

The new Soo Lock on the St. Marys River in Michigan, which connects Lake Superior and Lake Huron, is moving ahead with phases 2 and 3 of construction, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District said in a release.
