These orders are meant to address the climate crisis as the country looks to enter a massive heat wave. The president is set to announce additional climate change related executive actions next month.

There have been two new oil discoveries offshore Guyana by Exxon Mobil Corp. The company reports it is already producing more than the 340,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) target it had originally set for itself by the end of 2022.

Ocean Harvesting is reporting a new patent application for an improved pre-tensioning system in the power take-off (PTO), replacing customized components in the previous design with standard components. This is a critical step towards the final validation stage of the system at full scale and the commercialization of the technology.
CorPower Ocean has partnered with composite machinery specialist Autonational and composite tank experts CPT Tankwell to develop its first commercial-scale hull in Viana do Castelo (Portugal), using a custom-built machine, installed inside an environmentally controlled work cell.
