Oil and gas exploration company Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas has inked a deal to acquire additional interest in a block located offshore South Africa, south of recent discoveries made by oil majors Shell and TotalEnergies off Namibia.
 
Neptune Energy, ExxonMobil subsidiary XTO Netherlands, Rosewood Exploration and EBN Capital B.V. signed a cooperation agreement to progress the L10 large-scale offshore carbon capture and storage project in the Dutch North Sea.
 
Petrobras has approved BW Energy’s offer to acquire the producing Golfinho and Camarupim clusters in the post-salt Espírito Santo Basin offshore Brazil.
 
NEW PRODUCTS AND TECHNOLOGY
To accelerate maritime decarbonisation, the two parties will explore the use of zero and low-carbon marine fuels such as e-methanol, e-methane and biofuels for commercial shipping. Research on technologies such as carbon capture solutions is another objective of the MOU.
 
Less than three years after the initial exploratory discovery well was drilled, LLOG Exploration, a U.S. oil and gas operator, has kicked off the first production from a deepwater two-well subsea development, located in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
