The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority has approved Lundin Energy Norway’s request to dispose of subsea facilities on the Brynhild field in the North Sea.
 
Swedish developer of twin offshore wind turbine technology Hexicon has said it will develop a demonstrator project for floating wind power at Metcentre’s deepwater area off of Norway’s coast.

Blue Ocean Seismic Services has completed sea trials of a test prototype version of its autonomous underwater vehicle offshore Australia.
 
Maersk, ABS, MAN Energy Solutions, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, NYK Line, Seaspan Corporation and Total are joining forces through the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping to assess the technical, financial and environmental potential of converting existing vessels to zero-carbon fuels and -technology as part of the transition to a global zero carbon fleet by 2050.
 
The U.S. National Offshore Wind Research and Development Consortium (NOWRDC) is funding a project developing a shallow-water floating offshore wind concept, with cost-share being provided by Equinor.
