Tenaris S.A. has completed the acquisition of IPSCO Tubulars Inc., a US manufacturer of steel pipe, from PAO TMK in a transaction valued at $1.067 billion.
 
Seabras 1 Bermuda and Seabras 1 USA filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. The Filings were made to ensure an orderly process to effectuate a new restructuring plan for Seabras 1 Bermuda, while ensuring that the company’s customers will continue to be served as usual.
 
Aqueos Corp. has completed a major diving and ROV project offshore California. This included the subsea inspection of three large jacket structures. The inspections are part of an ongoing structural integrity review of the jackets, and included detailed inspection of welds.

Oil and gas companies and service providers are increasingly adopting virtual reality (VR) technology, according to data analytics specialist GlobalData. Its report Virtual Reality in Oil & Gas - Thematic Research examines the use of VR for subsurface studies, training and simulation, and for developing and improvising processes and products.
 
Northrop Grumman’s AQS-24 mine hunting sonar has recently completed initial in-water testing of a Deploy and Retrieval (D&R) payload. Operated from the Mine Countermeasures Unmanned Surface Vessel (MCM USV), the AQS-24 D&R demonstrated the unmanned operations needed to perform a mine hunting mission off the MCM Mission Package aboard the littoral combat ship (LCS).
 
Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering (DEME) has completed the installation of 58 monopile foundations and two offshore substation foundations at the SeaMade offshore wind farm in the Belgian North Sea.
