Bay-Tech industries will be hosting a Ocean Technology Oxy-Arc Underwater Burning Safety Training class with Certification June 25th, 26th and 27th . It is a 2-1/2 day Safety Course. The cost is $500.00 per person. This class is for Dive Supervisors, Safety Officers, Project Managers and Company Representatives only. Limited spots are available and filling up quickly. Students are required to provide their own Laptop, Class Manual, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots and Overalls. The Manual can be purchased the day of the class at Bay-Tech. This year the ADCI will award 2 Scholarships at $4,000.00 each.

This ADCI Scholarship is open to members of the community of all ADCI voting member companies who are current and in good standing with ADCI, with the exception of officers and/or directors of the ADCI Board of Directors or their immediate families. This award is available for any institution of higher learning after high school including universities, colleges, junior colleges, vocational training schools and trade schools. 

Scholarship recipients will be honored at the Awards Dinner at Underwater Intervention 2019.

The Award recognises safety professionals, groups, organisations or companies in the fields of commercial, scientific, military or recreational diving. It was founded by, and named after, Leonard Greenstone, in 1974 and supported by NAUI; after which was then deeded to the Historical Diving Society USA (HDS) in 2012 when he passed away. Leonard was a U.S. Navy salvage diver during WWII, and a strong advocate of diver's safety. Among his many contributions to the world of diving was the establishing of the Leonard Greenstone Marine Technology Training Program at Chino State Prison, California, which has consistently recorded the lowest prisoner recidivism rate in California history and possibly in the nation also.
