Request for Input

Recently, the Department of Labor released OSHA Instruction, Directive Number: CPL 02-00-151. The purpose of this instruction is to provide guidelines for the occupational safety and health standards for commercial diving operations, 29 CFR Part 1910, Subpart T.

The ADCI is requesting that members review the new OSHA Directive and identify any concerns. The Association is further requesting that members submit their comments to the ADCI, so that a formal submittal can be made to OSHA on behalf of the ADCI and its membership.

Members are asked to please submit the comments to pnewsum@adc-int.org by 1 January 2012.
With a collective review of the directive by the ADCI Membership and industry, we should be able to adequately and accurately determine if there are any issues to be addressed.

Go to: www.osha.gov to download the directive.

This Information was sent to further the communication of all industry stakeholders. Safety is the primary concern of the ADCI. Remember: a real-time Job Hazard Analysis is important, but nothing can replace good common sense.

Sincerely,

Phil Newsum
