General Notice Bulletin: Miller Diving Easy Lift Harness Test Criteria

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Products Affected:

The Miller Diving Easy Lift Harness has undergone strenuous testing and certification criteria. It has been subjected to static force loads greater than 9000 N (2,000 pounds/907 Kilos), for over five minutes, with no indication of tearing or failure. The Miller Diving Easy Lift Harness is manufactured to meet national and international commercial diving guidelines and regulations.

An informational I.D. plate is attached to each harness. To stay current with changing and future diving regulations, we will be updating the I.D. plate information in the near future. Included on the plate will be the assembly Maximum Load of 2000 pounds (907 Kilos), manufacturer’s name and serial number and date of manufacture.

Additional technical specifications can be located and referenced in the Miller Diving Easy Lift Operations & Maintenance Manual, page 10.

NOTE: The definition of breaking strength is the maximum tensile load the harness can lift, when the load is applied in the approved manner (that is directly in-line, as a static load), without damaging the harness or causing it to be inoperable or unsafe.
