The 2015 Legislative Leadership Conference is moving to Jekyll Island in Glynn County and is set for October 7 - October 9. The ACCG conference that focuses on the upcoming legislative session and finalizing the association's legislative priorities has previously been held in Athens-Clarke County. Now, in Glynn County, conference attendees will have the opportunity to experience the allure of Georgia's coast while engaging with fellow county officials.

Members of a Gwinnett County EXCEL course that UGA's Carl Vinson Institute of Government coordinates donated a children's free library they chose to build to fulfill the program's service-learning component. The 20 county workers enrolled in the course built a small kiosk to house a free book exchange at the Lawrenceville Housing Authority's Rich Martin Community. Participants dedicated the library May 29 at a community gathering. Gwinnett County EXCEL (Executive Competence, Excellence and Leadership) is a management development program for supervisors who work for the Gwinnett County government.
