Counties interested in hosting fall interns may apply for grant funds through the Civic Affairs Foundation's Georgia County Internship Program (GCIP). Those that apply and are selected will receive grant funds to recruit and hire interns in the fall of 2014 to undertake specific county projects. The deadline to apply for the GCIP grants is Friday, April 25, 2014.

The Georgia Department of Transportation will host the 2014 Georgia State Rail Plan Public Meetings on April 15-17, 2014 across the state. The State Rail Plan will serve as a statewide long-range rail planning document to provide a vision and road map for improving Georgia's passenger and freight rail service.
