This fall ACCG is hosting a series of regional trainings around the state on Local Option Sales Tax Negotiations (LOST) and Redistricting. Training begins on September 20 and ends on October 6. County officials and staff are encouraged to attend as these issues can have longstanding impacts on your county.
Have you registered for a policy committee meeting yet? The first set of meetings will take place in a little less than two weeks on August 18. Be sure to register soon to take advantage of the opportunity to provide input on the issues that will help shape the 2022 Policy Agenda.
Mark your calendars! The ACCG Civic Affairs Foundation will be holding their annual golf tournament fundraiser on Monday, October 18 at Bear’s Best in Gwinnett County. Proceeds from the tournament will help fund the Georgia County Internship Program.
This month the ACCG Civic Affairs Foundation is highlighting two amazing interns, Stephanie Allen and David Shoemaker and their internship with the Franklin County Board of Commissioners. Click read more to learn about their experience and the skills they've acquired.
Now, more than ever, counties are celebrated for their tireless work on behalf of their communities.
