Registration is now open for the 2026 ACCG Annual Conference. Join us on April 23-26 in Chatham County and learn how you can embrace new changes to evolve and emerge better than before.  To register for the conference, contact your county clerk or the county staff member who handles ACCG event registrations. 
  
Join ACCG and the National Association of Counties (NACo) for a webinar on NACo’s Public Promise Procurement platform. The webinar will cover how the Lead Public Agency model works, the benefits of single-award contracts, and steps for counties to participate — helping counties save time, lower costs, and streamline purchasing for essential goods and services.
  
ACCG is launching a new way to keep Georgia’s county officials informed and connected. County officials may now sign up to receive text messages about ACCG conference reminders, important alerts like grant deadlines, and legislative advocacy updates.
  
Created by the ACCG Board of Managers in 2025, the ACCG-Jerry R. Griffin Scholarship (Grant) is a non-competitive scholarship that will reimburse county officials and/or staff for expenses associated with attending ACCG and NACo conferences in 2026 and 2027. The scholarship program portal to set up your county's is now open. To ensure your account is set up prior to the first submission period, please designate someone from your county to create an account as soon as possible.

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) is now taking applications for National Highway Traffic Safety Administration grants. Grant applications must be submitted via the GOHS grant management system no later than 11:59 p.m. Thursday, March 5. 
  
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD) is now accepting applications for the Nonpoint Source Implementation Grant. Using a competitive process, GAEPD will award grant funds to eligible projects that propose to address nonpoint sources of pollution. Applications are due by Thursday, April 30.
  
It's wildfire season and Georgia Forestry Commission (GFC) wildland firefighters have been busy. This is also a time when, in the hands of trained practitioners, fire can be used to enhance health of our forestlands.
