The best way to make sure that your county will have the most accurate count is to create a local complete count committee (LCCC) to ensure that all residents in your county are motivated and educated about the importance of participating in the census. Ethan Miller, an information systems student at Georgia Southern University, spent his summer interning with Rockdale County's Information Technology department. The Georgia Smart Communities Challenge Application Deadline is quickly approaching. If your community is interested in receiving grant funding, sponsored research, and additional assistance in Smart Community planning in the topics areas of mobility, equity, and resilience, it is not too late to apply for this year's opportunity! Applications are due May 3rd. 

GeorgiaDATA, a depository of state and county statistical information hosted by UGA’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government, now features interactive data visualization tools that allow users to drill down by topic, visualize the data using maps and on-screen tools, and download selected material. The website catalogs data from the Georgia County Guide, an annual print publication produced by the Vinson Institute and UGA’s Cooperative Extension Service.
