Healthiest Counties Challenge

NACo, in partnership with the Aetna Foundation - a private foundation affiliated with CVS Health - and the American Public Health Association, will provide $100,000 in funding and non-financial support to selected communities to address access to foods that support healthy eating patterns and/or access to health services through systems-level approaches and resident engagement over a two-year period. This opportunity will not be posted online, as they are doing targeted outreach only at this time.

If your county is eligible and open to actively engaging in peer learning and experimenting with new ways of working with residents and cross-sector partner organizations, we encourage you to apply. To apply visit
