The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has been participating in the DOAS Surplus Property Program since 2013. Recently, the Sheriff’s Office acquired a 2022 Fish and Ski Triton boat and trailer.
The Sheriff’s Office plans to use the boat to engage with the boating community in Lincoln County and to maintain a presence on local lakes by assisting stranded boaters and educating the public on water safety. In addition, the office plans to work with neighboring agencies, such as the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), to assist with water rescue operations.
Most recently, the county used the boat and trailer in its local Christmas parade to engage with the public during the holidays.
