Government Finance Professionals Week

Counties are encouraged to join the Georgia Government Finance Officers Association (GGFOA) in promoting Government Finance Professionals Week, to be observed March 16-20, 2026. This statewide initiative recognizes and celebrates the essential contributions of county government finance professionals and their critical role in ensuring fiscal stewardship, transparency, and public trust across Georgia’s counties.
Counties are encouraged to participate by issuing proclamations, recognizing finance staff, sharing messages of appreciation within their communities, or highlighting the work of their finance teams during the week.
Counties interested in participating are encouraged to complete a brief Participation Survey. GGFOA staff will follow up as needed and provide guidance, templates, and other resources to support participation. Click here to learn more.
