DOAS Federal and State Surplus Property Programs

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

The Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) Surplus Property Division oversees the redistribution and disposal of excess state and federal property, offering local governments a cost-effective alternative to buying new. By utilizing surplus property, counties can extend their budgets and save taxpayer dollars. Available items include office equipment, furniture, electronics, construction equipment, medical supplies, and more—all at significantly reduced cost.

To participate, local governments must enroll in the program and renew their eligibility annually. Most local governments in Georgia are already enrolled. To check if you're currently enrolled, contact DOAS Surplus Property Division by emailing surplusproperty@doas.ga.gov.
