ACCG WELCOMES SUMMER INTERNS

 ACCG Welcomes Summer Interns 
 
Spring semester interns Zoe Ryan and Saferino Dour have returned to complete a summer semester with ACCG. Along with new policy research intern, David MacDonald, the UGA intern squad will assist the policy and research staff and the law department with research projects, data collection, surveys, and publications. 
David MacDonald  
David MacDonald is a second-year graduate student in the Master of Public Administration program with the University of Georgia through the School of Public and International Affairs. 
He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in History from UGA in 2024.  In his free time, he enjoys ice hockey, creative writing, and making origami. Following graduation, he plans to work in the historical or international relations fields.
  Zoe Ryan

Zoe Ryan is a rising 3L law student at the University of Georgia School of Law, where she is also pursuing a certification in Education Law & Policy. She is originally from Philadelphia and graduated from Rollins College in Orlando, Florida in 2019. She has served on the Editorial Board for the Georgia Law Review and as the Vice President of the Georgia Law Mental Health Alliance. Ryan has previously interned at Georgia Legal Services Program, where she developed her love of legal research and writing. When she is not studying, Ryan enjoys cooking, reading non-legal books, Disney World (where she used to work), and spending time with her wife and their two dogs, Luna and Eva.

Saferino Dour  

Saferino Dour is a graduate student at the University of Georgia’s Master of Public Administration program, having received his B.A. in Political Science from Fort Valley State University. He has experience at various levels of government through his previous internships at the Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan as an Assistant Immigration Attache and at Fort Valley State University’s Head Start Program as a Policy Analyst. Saferino is a former Division I volleyball athlete and fills his free time playing for UGA’s Club Volleyball team. He is passionate about empowering others through the political process and looks forward to a career in local or state government upon graduation.
