The ACCG Civic Affairs Foundation is seeking county applications for the 2024 Georgia County Internship Program (GCIP) through December. Each year, the Foundation solicits grant applications from county governments to fund county internships in a variety of disciplines. To date, over 525 internships in more than 90 counties have been funded through this program. Grants will pay for a 200-hour internship at $15/hour for a high school student 16 or older who is a dually enrolled in a college program, undergraduate and graduate students, or recent college graduates. All counties are eligible to apply. Applications can be found on the Foundation website at https://www.accg.org/caf_countyinfo.php.  The deadline to submit applications for the 2024 grant program will be Monday, December 18, 2023.

There are four different grant options for 2024:
General Grant:  Open to all counties; projects should benefit county government and its citizens.
Verizon Foundation Rural County Grant: Open to counties that have not previously participated in GCIP and have a population less than 50,000.
Kundell Environmental Management Grant: Open to projects that have an environmental impact.
Garner Health and Human Services Grant: Open to projects that have a health and human services impact.
