NACo Survey on Financial Impact of Disasters

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

NACo Research is conducting a survey to understand the county fiscal implications resulting from federal reimbursement for disaster response and recovery. In the past 10 years (2013 - 2023), presidentially declared disasters have impacted counties more than 17,000 times. Counties rely on a steady cash flow to support service delivery and government operations. The exponentially increasing disaster response and recovery costs create conditions that could impact county finances and cash flow.

Although this survey is designed for county budget managers, county administrators, and emergency managers, ACCG encourages all counties to participate. Click here to get started.
