Opportunity for Employee Safety Grants

For the third year in a row, members of the ACCG Workers’ Compensation Program can earn their portion of $500,000 in Employee Safety Grant funds. This grant program was authorized by the ACCG Workers’ Compensation Board of Trustees in 2018 to provide financial assistance to program members for the purpose of reducing employees’ work-related injuries. Funds can be used for additional training, equipment or services. Eligible members are active members as of the time of the distribution who have earned the 2021 Safety Discount and are current on their contributions (premiums) to the program.
 
More information about the grants will be emailed to members the first of April, including a one-page application and the simple requirements. Applications will be accepted between May 1, 2021 and August 31, 2021 with all purchases to be made by December 1, 2021. Examples of eligible requests include: personal protective equipment, body armor, fire department turnout gear or washers/dryers for gear, ergo equipment, first aid equipment such as AEDs, and fees for safety-related courses.
