USDA’s Rural Business Development Grant Program

Our Rural Business Development Program is a versatile grant to assist with economic development planning and/or the financing or expansion of rural businesses.
 
Some examples include the creation of a rural business incubator, renovations of historic theatres, downtown streetscape improvements, and purchase of specialized equipment for training students at Technical Colleges.
 
Eligible applicants include Towns, Communities, State agencies, Authorities, nonprofit corporations, Institutions of higher education, Federally-recognized tribes, and Rural cooperatives (if organized as a private nonprofit corporation).
