The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) invites local and state officials to a summit on the use of mobile technology in government on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. This full-day mobility summit, the first in GTA's IT Roadmap for Georgia Government series, will focus on how to ready your county, city, or agency to best manage a dynamic technology that's affecting both your workforce and your citizen-customers.

The summit is not just for IT staff. It will include Business, Financial and Technology tracks. Government managers who deal with internal business needs will gain insights on what mobile technology allows, and technology managers will learn details about mobility's technical considerations. Registration is free for employees of public-sector organizations.

With input from leading vendors in the mobile technology industry – Apple, AT&T, Motorola, Sprint, Verizon and others – participants will learn how iPads, iPhones, Androids and other increasingly commonplace mobility devices can help more effectively manage your own workforce and enhance services to your customers.

Registration deadline is May 7, and seating is limited, so please register early. The event will be held at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center, conveniently located off Interstate 75/85 in Midtown Atlanta and near the MARTA Midtown rail station.
