FREE TRAINING OPPORTUNITY FOR STREET & ROADS PERSONNEL

Georgia’s Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) will be offering free training on the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) at six locations throughout Georgia between September 28 and December 8, 2010.  Knowledge of and compliance with the MUTCD is critical in making public roads safer and reducing claims against counties resulting from alleged roadway defects or improper signage.

ACCG Insurance Programs strongly recommends that Road Superintendents or other transportation personnel make plans to attend this seminar.  It is sponsored jointly by the Georgia DOT and the Federal Highway Administration.  Each county that is represented will receive one copy of the current edition of the MUTCD.  Please notify all county personnel who deal with any aspect of traffic control of this opportunity.
