Utility Safety Partners is a private, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to preventing damage to buried and overhead facilities through education, advocacy, public awareness and by providing dependable, cost-effective exchange of information between facility owners and those conducting activity in the vicinity of those registered energy and utility assets.
- Utility Safety Partners has been providing damage prevention services since October 1, 1984.
- Stakeholders relying on Utility Safety Partners’ services include homeowners, farmers, equipment operators, excavation contractors, home builders, landscapers, land surveyors, utility owners, developers and municipalities.
- Operators of buried and overhead utilities, by being members of the Corporation, reduce the risk of utility damage, service disruption, environmental contamination, loss of product and potential disaster.
- Damage to buried and overhead utilities can result in repairs, product losses, environmental contamination, disruptions of essential services, excavations, serious injuries, and in some instances, fatalities.
