Windsor Home Hardware Receives Best Hardware Store Award

Local hardware store owner, Jeff Redden of Windsor Home Hardware was recognized at the 2019 Outstanding Retailer Awards recently. The 24th Annual Hardlines Conference and Gala was held November 13 to 14, 2019 at Kingbridge Conference Centre in King City, ON. Windsor Home Hardware received the Best Hardware Store award.

The Outstanding Retailer Awards have recognized and honoured Canada’s best Home Improvement Retailing stores across Canada for more than two decades. Over the past 27 years, Home Hardware has received close to 40 Outstanding Retailing Awards – taking home two awards this year.

“We are extremely honored to receive this award, and proud to serve our local communities,” said Jeff Redden, Dealer-Owner, Windsor Home Hardware. “Recognition goes to our customers and staff, both at head office and store level, who without them this award would not have been achievable.”

The award recipients were chosen by a panel of industry experts who analyzed nominations from retailers across Canada in eight categories: Best Hardware Store; Best Building Supply/Home Centre (under 15,000 sq. ft.); Best Building Supply/Home Centre (over 15,000 sq. ft.); Best Contractor-Specialist Dealer; Young Retailer of the Year; Best Large Surface Retailer; the Marc Robichaud Community Leader award; and the Industry Spirit award. Each nomination was judged on a range of criteria, including sales performance, retailing innovation and community involvement.

“Windsor Home Hardware has persevered through tough times in its community,” said Michael McLarney, President, Hardlines Inc. “Jeff has remained committed to the well-being of his staff and the good of his community through it all.”
