Carl Ballard and Kevin Pelley of Kohltech are pleased to announce that Kohltech Windows and Entrance Systems has agreed to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Seymour Windows Limited to support Kohltech’s expansion in the Ontario market.  Subject to normal conditions the acquisition is expected to close on Feb. 1.

“Adding Seymour Windows to the Kohltech family is a natural step for us as we grow in Ontario,” says Kevin Pelley. “This will give us a physical presence in the province that will benefit our customers and create synergies that will help both businesses continue to grow and evolve.  We have known each other as founding members of the Fenestra Purchasing Co-op and have worked well together on the development of a patent pending high performance sill.  We share the same focus of looking after our employees and our customers.”

This initiative is part of Seymour Windows owners Joe Jolie and James Bondy’s succession planning for the window and door business and is good news for employees, customers and supplier partners of both businesses.  “Kohltech’s culture, values and business philosophy are very well aligned with that of Seymour,” says Joe Jolie. “I am pleased to see the Seymour legacy continue under the direction of industry peers who I trust and have a high degree of respect for.”

Seymour Windows and Doors is a North Bay, Ontario based manufacturer of windows and entrance systems and has been in business since 1984.
