Home Hardware Named as One of Canada’s Top Fleet Employers for 2018

 

Home Hardware Stores Limited has been recognized by Trucking HR Canada as a Top Fleet Employer for the fifth consecutive year. Home Hardware Stores Limited received the honour of Top Fleet Employers of Distinction.

Home Hardware has also been recognized with the Large Fleet Safety Award from Private Motor Truck Council of Canada six times since 2005.

“With over 500 trailers and 140 tractors traveling over 18 million KM per year, Home's fleet goes above and beyond in providing exceptional products and services for communities from coast-to-coast-to-coast,” said Dennis Shantz, Director of Fleet Services, Home Hardware Stores Limited. “Receiving the Top Fleet Employers designation solidifies Home Hardware's leadership role as a private fleet in the trucking industry.”

All applicants were rated on topics including recruitment and retention practices, workplace culture, compensation, training and skills development, and innovative HR practices. Additionally, those who have been recognized in the program for 5 years in a row are honoured with a Top Fleet Employer of Distinction status.

We commend them for their leadership in showcasing the trucking and logistics industry as a great place to work” said Angela Splinter, chief executive officer. “Now in our fifth year, we are especially proud to honour those achieving the Top Fleet Employer of Distinction status.”

Trucking HR Canada will proudly honour, celebrate and recognize the 2018 Top Fleet Employers at its annual Gala Awards Dinner on October 11, 2018 in Toronto.
