Lowe's Canada Supports Habitat for Humanity

Lowe’s Canada is proud to highlight its collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Canada in 2017. The company’s administrative centers and stores donated close to $1 million in products and building materials to Habitat for Humanity ReStores and over 100 employees helped build homes on the organization’s construction sites.

Since 1985, Habitat for Humanity Canada has been building decent and affordable homes that provide families with a solid foundation for better, healthier lives in Canada. Habitat homeowners volunteer up to 500 hours with Habitat and pay an interest-free, affordable mortgage – geared to their income – to buy their own home. Each year, the organization helps improve the lives of hundreds of families through the work of volunteers and the generous contributions of its partners.

Lowe’s Canada is proud to be one of those partners and to help Habitat for Humanity Canada fulfill its mission by supporting Habitat ReStores, which are home and building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used building materials, as well as furniture, appliances, and home accessories to the public to fund Habitat for Humanity projects. “At Lowe’s Canada, our mission is to help people love where they live,” said Jean-Sebastien Lamoureux, Senior Vice President, Communications, Public Affairs, and Compliance at Lowe’s Canada. “It was only natural for us to support an organization that helps provide homes for hundreds of Canadians every year.”
