Cast Your Vote: AATB Bylaws
The membership vote to repeal and replace the AATB Bylaws is now open. On the recommendation of the AATB Bylaws and Ethics Committee, the AATB Board of Governors has elected to move forward with a membership vote to repeal the current bylaws and replace them with an updated version. Eligible members in good standing as of October 17 should have received their ballot and voting credentials via email on Monday, October 27. Please cast your vote before the ballot closes on Monday, November 3.

AATB Grant Program Now Open for Submissions!
AATB is now accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for its Grant Program, supporting research that advances the field of tissue banking. We invite proposals that focus on non-proprietary aspects of tissue recovery, allograft processing, clinical outcomes, economic analyses, and more. Eligible applicants from academic institutions, medical centers, and the tissue industry are encouraged to apply for grants of up to $100,000. The deadline to submit an LOI is December 31, 2025.

Nashville, Tennessee: This position will require staff to approach patients for participation in research protocols, obtain consent and biofluids for CHTN Donating Tissue for research and Investigator driven protocols (VUMC internal investigators). The position will require staff to work closely with the VUMC perioperative nurses to access the patient for consent and biofluids collections. The consent staff will be required to keep detailed records of the approach to consent, questions that the patient or family have regarding the studies. Consent staff will be responsible for mailing the consent forms and letters to the patients after consent has been obtained and recording the data in CHTN Donor systems. Consent staff will be required maintain accurate records and report consent numbers, quarterly to the VICC.
