Canaveral Port Authority has received Fitch’s ‘A’ rating for $26.9 million of outstanding revenue bonds, series 2005 and 2006 A&B, and a rating of ‘stable’ for  all port bonds.

The board of directors for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority has approved an agreement with the Spliethoff Group that will double the frequency of the Cleveland – Europe Express liner service that was launched last year.

Transportation Technology Associates
Port Corpus Christi celebrated the opening of Phase I of its Nueces River Rail Yard with a special ceremony on April 10. The project includes a 9,920-foot-long siding capable of storing a 160-car unit train adjacent to the Fulton Corridor Lead track that serves port industries. The Port of Los Angeles has completed construction of the South Wilmington Grade Separation Bridge, a 4,100-foot-long structure costing $8.4 million that eliminates conflicts between vehicular traffic and two railroad crossings in an area heavily used by pedestrians, truckers and port commuters.

A new Storm Water Ordinance adopted by the Port of Oakland is intended to keep waters clean along the port’s 20 miles of San Francisco Bay shoreline. The port says it will ensure compliance by examining runoff for contaminants and investigating violations.

The Port of Milwaukee operating revenues amounted to nearly $4.6 million in 2014, a 5.6 percent increase from 2014, due in great part to a 50 percent jump in steel cargo tonnage. Net income rose 4.3 percent to $1.5 million, all of which was returned to the city of Milwaukee. The Port of Virginia reports container volumes through its facilities jumped 16 percent in March to a new month high of 229,410 TEUs. The upsurge forced the port operations team to take a series of immediate measures to restore operational tempo.
