The Port of Brownsville is feeding all steel slabs to Ternium’s new hot rolling mill in Pesqueria, Mexico. So far this year 32 vessels have called on the port to deliver more than 1.6 million metric tons of steel slab from Brazil and Russia to the new mill. Stabilize Soft Subgrades for Heavy Loads -- GEOWEB® Geocells
Presto Geosystems®
Presto Geosystems worked closely with the US Army Corps to design a 36,000-square-foot haul road over weak soil using the GEOWEB® 3D system. Due to the low subgrade strength and anticipated heavy traffic patterns at the confined disposal facility, a dual-layer of GEOWEB Geocell reinforcement was required. The system performs as a load support structure, and with the aggregate infill, it provides additional on-site stormwater management.
