In addition to in-depth cyber and other security threat intelligence discussions, networking sessions and a boat tour of the Port of New York and New Jersey, attendees will forge connections and gain deep industry security knowledge. The draft agenda is available online. Register now

Observers stationed atop shipping containers with observation decks keep watchful eyes on marine mammals during dock construction at the Port of Alaska. Construction work is stopped when threatened species are seen in the area, especially the endangered Cook Inlet beluga whales. Loud noises from pile driving in particular could injure the hearing of these protected mammals.

Stabilize Soft Subgrades for Heavy Loads -- GEOWEB® Geocells
Presto Geosystems®
Presto Geosystems worked closely with the US Army Corps to design a 36,000-square-foot haul road over weak soil using the GEOWEB® 3D system. Due to the low subgrade strength and anticipated heavy traffic patterns at the confined disposal facility, a dual-layer of GEOWEB Geocell reinforcement was required. The system performs as a load support structure, and with the aggregate infill, it provides additional on-site stormwater management.
