Students and employment seekers can attend the 2nd Annual Port Connect at the Port of Nanaimo November 7 to survey possible job opportunities with companies that conduct their business on the waterfront. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is sponsoring a transportation, logistics and distribution job fair on November 8 to connect job seekers with industry representatives and business partners. Recreational boaters from all over the globe are gearing up for the West Coast’s largest sailing regatta, the Baja Ha-Ha. The Port of San Diego is a proud sponsor of this event.

The Port of Long Beach invites the public to deliver comments at two meetings regarding the comprehensive study of a proposed harbor deepening project. The Port of Virginia announced that it will begin work on its channel deepening and widening project, following the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s approval of an offshore site for placement of the dredge material.
 
 
   
 For the 11th time in the past 12 years, the Port of Davisville has broken its annual auto import record. As of October, 242,568 automobiles have been imported in 2019, up from 241,851 in all of 2018. The Duluth Seaway Port Authority reported the last inbound wind energy cargo vessel of 2019 off-loaded at Duluth’s Clure Public Marine Terminal, and her cargo helped set a record. In total, the Port of Duluth welcomed 306,000 freight tons of wind energy cargo in 2019, a single-season record.

The Northwest Packing Company, a long-standing partner at the Port of Vancouver USA, is currently at the height of its production season, processing high quality produce at its port facility to be distributed around the world. 
 
The Port of Santa Marta is a multipurpose port located on Colombia’s Caribbean coast in the northern department of Magdalena. The port has six different terminals dedicated to containers, agribulk, general cargoes, liquid bulk, coal and ro-ro, as well as offering regular cruise calls.

Suape Port, located 40 km from Recife in the northeastern state of Pernambuco in Brazil, is the leading Brazilian port in short sea shipping and liquid bulk operations.
 
The Illinois Int'l Port District – Port of Chicago – has officially kicked off its first major capital project. The $17 million capital improvement initiative, Butler Drive Rehabilitation Project, began with the delivery of rail equipment to the port. The Port of Galveston announced an agreement between TranSystems Corporation and the port to perform a traffic study to determine how to mitigate impacts and improve traffic flow from additional cruise traffic for the proposed third cruise terminal.  The Government of Québec announced that it will provide the Trois-Rivières Port Authority $2.49 million in financial assistance for the development of an outdoor storage space, a multi-purpose shed and an oversized equipment warehouse.
