The Port of Everett demonstrated its high financial standards once again by achieving another clean audit, marking the 19th consecutive year with no findings reported by the Washington State Auditor’s Office (WSAO). The Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners has approved a $1.17 billion FY 2016-17 annual budget for the Port of Los Angeles, including $146.1 million for capital improvements.

The Port of Seattle Commission has approved the creation of a "Port Economic Development Partnership Program" that will make available $962,435 to 38 cities to advance local economic development throughout the region.

The bucket dredging phase in Slip D, the latest development in Port Fourchon's Northern Expansion area, was completed June 14. The initial dredging of Slip D, which broke ground less than one year ago, is the most recent benchmark completed in the progression of the port's Northern Expansion development plan.
 
A newly released study on the Local and Regional Economic Impacts of the Cleveland Harbor found that maritime commerce in Cleveland contributes more than $3.5 billion of total economic value annually to Northeast Ohio.

Container cargo numbers improved slightly at the Port of Long Beach in May, up 0.8 percent from a year ago when business was recovering from several months of congestion. Throughput at Port of Los Angeles, reached 770,409 TEUs in May, an increase of nearly 11 percent from last year and the port’s busiest May ever. May was fifth consecutive grown month for containerized exports at the Port of Oakland reports containerized cargo exports increased in May for the fifth straight month. The Port of Virginia reports container traffic for the year through May totaled nearly 1.1 million TEUs, a 2.0 percent increase compared to January-May 2015.
